Michelle Cornelison is the Vice President of Asset Management at Next Chapter Neighborhoods, bringing over 30 years of multifamily and build-to-rent experience to our growing team.
She began her career in 1994 on the front lines of leasing and operations, then led dozens of lease-ups across the country until settling into the “fixer” role, called in to turn around affordable, conventional, luxury, and distressed communities. Michelle went on to oversee multi-state portfolios as a Regional Manager and to build training divisions for nationally recognized organizations as Director of Training and Development, earning a reputation as a trusted industry expert, speaker, and mentor.
At Next Chapter, she oversees performance from first pro forma through lease-up, stabilization, and disposition, partnering with management teams to drive occupancy, optimize revenue, and align on-the-ground execution with investment goals—all while bringing a leadership style rooted in disciplined best practices, a detailed lease-up strategy, and a genuine passion for helping people live their best life.
When she’s not working, Michelle is likely on horseback in the woods or exploring flea markets and flower shops, with her golden lab, Cedar, riding shotgun whenever possible.
